Plasmocin™ is an antibiotic solution used by scientists in bio-research to eliminate and prevent mycoplasma contamination of animal cell cultures.

Plasmocin™ is used to cure cell lines infected by mycoplasmas and related cell wall-less bacteria. Plasmocin™ can also be used as a routine addition in liquid media to prevent mycoplasmal and more generally bacterial contamination in small and large animal cell cultures.

Plasmocin should not be used as a substitute for good cell culture procedures.
